Destiny 2: Beyond Light Unveils New Stasis Subclasses

Your characters are going to PSO2 Meseta be in a similar position. Levels, abilities and some other character progression won't transfer over to New Genesis. Rather, everyone will start over at level one, rather than all weapons and units will be accessible due to using different skins. We have not heard anything regarding classes or if there'll be significant gameplay changes, but we'll likely hear more as the release date gets closer. Skill Rings are the only gear that won't transfer because they will not be in New Genesis whatsoever. Similarly, crafting is getting a much-needed overhaul, so those items will not be available either.

Mags will carry over, however they will not have the impact you are used to in PSO2. They will be more of a pet in New Genesis that does not impact your stats. This is another great design choice because new players often fall in the pit of an unoptimized personality. Feeding them any item without realizing what it does results in having random stats and contributes to problems like being not able to equip weapons and difficulty at higher levels. Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is a brand new breed of sport, and it will be interesting to see how well it works together with Sega's present MMO.

New Genesis can improve on other aspects of PSO2, as well. Following a big upgrade that cut down the dull objectives of narrative quests, what is left is a string of incoherent cutscenes with the odd boss struggle scattered in between. I have tried multiple times to get through the narrative, but it all feels pointless. New Genesis, however, has its campaign set in the future, so I am hoping Sega takes a number of the lessons and assembles a new story that is actually worth playing and will not need to be trimmed down in a couple of decades.

It's bizarre half-measures like that make PSO2 an MMO with a lot of bags. For fans like me, it's easy to reconcile these annoyances since the thrill of combating elaborate supervisors and grinding for that next big update are all really fun. But I have difficulty advocating a game that needs players to observe hours of movies just to know some of its basics. New Genesis, though, feels like a clean slate. Taking what currently works about PSO2 and modernizing it feels to be an easy win. Hopefully that's what Sega is really planning instead of a surface-level upgrade with elaborate images. Big new surroundings and higher-detailed characters are fine and all, but it is going to buy Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta mean nothing should New Genesis doesn't repair the core issues maintaining PSO2 from being great.
