The challenge
In the pp fitting Challenge, teams from pipeline construction companies, training institutions, and network operators from Germany and abroad compete in their profession: Alongside trained professionals and managers, aspiring specialists from the pipeline construction sector also had the chance to show off their skills to a wide audience.

The competition was divided into three categories: Apprentices, professionals and managers. The challenge therefore shows how technical expertise, modern materials, and innovative laying techniques are intertwined in practice on a pipeline construction site.

The tasks of the pp fitting Challenge
The focus is on practical relevance: the task is to build a water distribution system from cast iron and PE pipes and to fit a repair clamp with a flange connection on a pipe system. The performance of the teams, which have three members each, is examined by skilled and independent referees.
