The governance of Bengaluru is undergoing a major transformation with the introduction of the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA), which is set to replace the existing Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP). This shift marks a pivotal moment in the city's administrative evolution, aiming to streamline urban development, improve civic services, and bring more accountability to local governance. But what does GBA vs BBMP really mean for residents, businesses, and the future of Bengaluru?

The BBMP has long been the civic body responsible for managing the city’s infrastructure, waste management, road development, and other essential services.
