Any one of those features would make Menaphos an important upgrade for the
RS gold community, but Menaphos is a comprehensive checklist of RPG goodness. It's an expansion that respects and cherishes the mill, one that shows Jagex know its community and therefore are listening to them. It will never be the same as the game millions played in the mid-2000s, however there is a lot to appreciate about the direction Jagex are carrying this cherished IP in.
As a Runescaper because 2006, with a consistant membership never lapsing, I'd love to say this upgrade is awful and gets less than 1 star.Players are forced to play repetitive games and or skill to get 40+ hours should they want to fill out the new narrative line quests. It's not an expansion to be pleased with, there's not much to do this that other cities in Runescape don't have.
Perhaps not the best upgrade ever, but maybe not the worst. They have space to improve. I loved the narrative content, the graphical update of this desert (they burst the River Elid eventually; we want that for all rivers in the game) and the city itself, as well as the fact that it is a wonderful skilling hub for midsize gamers (Prifddinas remains the greater hub for higher-level players), but the faction system restricts players from enjoying the content they want. Instead of pacing the player as I believe they were hoping to do, it only restricts the player in a frustrating way.I've noticed a lot of updates in my 13 years of enjoying
cheap RuneScape gold, and there have been worse ones. But they can do better and I hope they require player feedback into account for another expansion in September.
