Introduction Of Flat Screen Printing Machine

Posted By licheng flatprinter     July 20, 2021

Body

Stenter screen printing is becoming more and more important. These designs are quite simple to apply, and the size of the screen can be easily changed. The pressure applied is also lower than that of cylinder printing. The textured surface will not be crushed, and the color rendering is better.

Screen printing is equivalent to stencil printing. There is a difference between flat screen printing and rotary screen printing. In flat screen printing, a rectangular frame (screen) to which a tulle is fixed is used. Rotary screen printing is done with cylindrical screens. The cylindrical screen contains the color paste and rotates on the fabric to be printed. The dye is forced through a cylindrical screen, which is perforated into the underlying fabric according to a specific design.

The screen properties are very important here. A stable screen is necessary. The frame for flat screen printing is made of wood, or preferably metal. The use of strong nylon or polyester yarn wiring (hydrophobic material) ensures that the tightly stretched mesh will not bend under load (with color paste). According to a certain design, the paste is pushed onto the fabric through the screen through the scraper.

There are three types of flat screen printing: manual screen printing, semi-automatic flat screen printing and fully automatic flat screen printing.

Manual screen printing is considered a craft, not a productive working method. Fix the fabric on the blanket or dark gray on the printing table where the screen is placed. Usually, each color of the final drawing requires another screen. Use a (rubber) scraper to spread the printing paste on the screen by hand to force the printing paste through the screen. Manual methods may cause irregularities.

In semi-automatic flat screen printing, the squeegee is moved mechanically on the screen, and this method cannot achieve a fairly high working speed.

Whether it is manual screen printing or semi-automatic screen printing, various colors are painted one after another, drying at intervals (wet and dry method). Applications with shorter intervals are called wet-on-wet methods.

The printing speed can be increased by applying (printing) all colors on the fabric at the same time, which leads to a continuous process rather than batches. In that case, the distance that the fabric to be printed moves is equal to the repetition width between each printing operation. Repetition is a part of a design or pattern that is repeated at equal distances in length and width. A design or pattern is a complete set of graphics printed on the material. Coat the material to be printed on (endless) printing blanket or conveyor belt. This kind of blanket can be easily glued to or removed from the textile to be printed. It is then cleaned and dried in a working cycle (the so-called Buser system). The adhesive can be applied and removed in each cycle, or it can remain on the blanket and be permanently effective (thermoplastic layer).
