An anonymous Nintendo leaker has revealed that Animal Crossing: New Horizons will receive a major update in the near future, which will allegedly introduce Brewster to the game. Because there hasn't been a significant update to New Horizons in a long time, a lot of fans are wondering when something significant will finally happen.
When it comes to potential additions, Brewster is among the most popular. This particular character first appeared in Animal Crossing: Wild World for the Nintendo DS in 2005, where he is a well-dressed pigeon who owns The Roost café, among other things. His reappearances in numerous Animal Crossing games over the years have been numerous, and he is always ready to serve those in need of a good cup of coffee. That Brewster has been absent from the most recent Animal Crossing entry has come as no surprise to Animal Crossing Bells For Sale. Datamining details from several weeks ago hinted that the character and his café would eventually make an appearance, much to the delight of many fans. It appears that a new leak has added credibility to those conclusions.
Samus Hunter, a Twitter user and alleged Nintendo leaker, recently shared information about the upcoming major Animal Crossing: New Horizons update (via GamesRadar). As reported by a leaked document, New Horizons' next major content drop will take place no later than November of this year, bringing with it Brewster and The Roost. Among other things, Samus Hunter claims that the café will serve as a gathering place for players to reunite with old friends. Take a look at the post in its entirety by clicking on the following tweet:
In November, at the very least, the major update will be released, which will most likely introduce Brewster and his bar, where you can catch up with old acquaintances. In the event of a delay after September, the team has taken precautions to ensure that the Halloween event can be installed without the need for an additional update.
Along with the previously mentioned datamined information, the aforementioned Brewster-related leak appears to be a positive development. However, as is always the case, it is best to proceed with caution when hearing rumors or speculating about anything. Brewster's reappearance in a November update has not been confirmed by Nintendo as of the time of writing.
A little more than a year ago, Nintendo launched ACNH Items For Sale on the Nintendo Switch, garnering critical and player acclaim in equal measure. As of March 31, 2021, sales data showed that the title had sold over 35.9 million copies worldwide, a significant increase from the previous month's figure of 35.7 million copies. It's closing in on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which has so far been the best-selling game on the Nintendo Switch, with more than 37 million units sold globally. With a little luck, New Horizons will be in the lead by year's end!
