You might be wondering why the All-on-4® treatment is so short, mainly because it is faster than other dental procedures. Every time you look at the advantages of All-on-4®, the first sentence is that treatment times are more straightforward. And yes, they are. It takes a day to do the procedure.

How is the Treatment So Short?

The treatment doesn't require bone grafting procedures. Bone grafting procedures are time-consuming, and when they are not involved in a process, it becomes shorter—the sloping or tilting of the posterior implants the bone grafting is avoided. Also, the All-on-4® treatment does not require pre-surgeries.

In most cases, patients can have their implants installed and the new crown placed on the same day.

How Long Does it Take?

The process has about five steps that each patient follows. The first step is a consultation. It takes an hour or less to talk and enquire about the procedure. Then you are assessed if the process is proper for you. Which also take a short well.

The next step is surgery. In surgery, you are preparing to get the implants. Teeth are removed, your mouth is clean, and the implants are installed. Surgery usually takes three to four hours to be complete. If you and your dentist choose, your crown can be installed on the same day or even time.

The next crucial step is follow up appointments which start two weeks after the surgery. They then processed to having to see your dentist every two months for six months.

That is all it takes for the All-on-4® treatment.
