What a pleasant surprise! Nintendo has pulled a fast one and made the massive 2.0 update to Animal Crossing available for download. The update was originally scheduled to go live on November 5, butbuy bells animal crossing new horizons was made available earlier.

This will be the game's final major free update, according to the company, which announced ACNH bells during its Animal Crossing Direct presentation on October 15. However, it will bring a slew of new features and content to the popular Switch life simulator -- andfree ACNH bells will do so alongside a paid DLC expansion that adds even more to do.

Characters that are returned
Brewster's cafe, The Roost, is one of the new features included in the 2.0 update.   The cafe will be on the second floor of your island's museum, which will be accessible via a lift. You can stop for a cup of coffee and possibly run into other islanders who are taking a break at the same time. You can also use Animal Crossing Amiibo figures and cards to invite specific characters to hang out in the cafe.

Brewster isn't the only one of the game's characters who has returned. Following the 2.0 update, you'll come face to face with Kapp'n at the pier on your island. Kapp'n can arrange boat tours for you, transporting you to mysterious islands with new flora, or to a different season or time of day than you are used to. During the voyage, Kapp'n will, of course, perform his signature sea shanties in his trademark style.

Harv's Island is also going through some significant transformations. Harv is collaborating with Harriet, the hairstylist from previous Animal Crossing games, in order to transform the island into a plaza for the community. You can contribute bells to assist them in funding various new buildings, including permanent shops for Saharah, Kicks, and other characters, among other things. Katrina the fortune teller and Tortimer, the mayor from previous games, as well as Reese and Cyrus, are all returning as playable characters. The alpaca couple will be able to create furniture to your specifications.

Features that have been added
There are also several new features and items that will be included in the 2.0 update.   You and the other islanders can now stretch together using a new tape deck in the plaza, which is reminiscent of the morning aerobics that took place during the summer months in the original Animal Crossing game for the Nintendo GameCube. You can perform the stretches by pressing buttons or moving the cursor around the screen.

The island ordinances from Animal Crossing: New Leaf are also making a comeback in this game. You can customize the experience even further by selecting an ordinance that suits your play style. The Early Bird ordinance, for example, encourages all islanders to be more active earlier in the day than they would otherwise be.

In addition, the game's camera functionality is being enhanced. With the new Pro Camera NookPhone app, you can take photos of villagers and the surrounding scenery while viewing your island from a first-person perspective. You can also use a tripod to ensure that your character appears in the photographs.

On top of that, the number of interactions between villagers is being increased. Islands residents can now invite you to their homes for socializing, and they can even pay you a surprise visit at your residence.

Customization and the addition of new items
In addition to the new items and customization options, Nintendo is introducing a slew of new features in the 2.0 update.   Tom Nook will be able to transform the exterior of your home with a variety of new designs. There will also be a variety of new fence types to choose from, with some of them being fully customizable. There are also new cooking DIY recipes to try out as well. You can grow vegetables such as tomatoes, carrots, and other ingredients, and then use those ingredients to make dishes such as soup and pizza.

For those of you who have amassed an impressive number of Nook Miles, you'll soon be able to redeem them for new furniture items such as new types of fountains, streetlighting systems, and more. An outdoor storage shed that connects to your home storage boxes is also being added by Nintendo. Additionally, there will be an outdoor ABD terminal that will allow you to access your account without the necessity of visiting Resident Services in the Resident Services building.

K. K. Slider is also expanding the scope of his set list. Following the update, the wandering musician will have 12 new songs to perform on the road. Gyroids from previous games are also making a comeback. A gyroid fragment is something you can dig up from the ground, which you can then plant and water to grow new gyroids in the future. Aside from that, Nintendo is adding 11 new gestures and 11 new hairstyles to the game, and you'll be able to customize the ceilings in your home with lights and other fixtures as well as furniture.

DLC for Happy Home Paradise was purchased.
A paid DLC expansion for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, titled Happy Home Paradise, will be released concurrently with the free 2.0 update, according to Nintendo. This expansion, which is similar to the Happy Home Designer game for the Nintendo 3DS, allows you to construct dream vacation homes and other types of structures for various villagers based on their requests.

The Happy Home Paradise DLC is available for purchase for $25. As part of the new Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack tier, it is also included for no additional cost. It costs $50 per year for an individual to subscribe to the expanded service, while costs $80 per year for a family plan that covers up to eight different Nintendo accounts across multiple systems.
