Pokemon Legends Arceus will officially launch in a week, but leaks are rampant, and streamers are already playing the game to their audiences. You can now preload it early so you can get stuck on launch day.

The download is about 13 GB, which is larger than many other Nintendo games, but about the same size as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild's 13.4 GB. The base Nintendo Switch has about 64 GB of storage, so you should be fine.

If you want to experience Pokemon Legends Arceus ahead of its release next week, you can watch a 360° tour of the game in a new two-minute short that Nintendo shared on Twitter. This isn't exactly a demo, but it gives us a better look at the world of Pokemon Legends Arceus, an expansion of the Sinnoh region of diamonds and pearls.

But it's not an open world, unlike Breath of the Wild, though there are plenty of comparisons. There are a series of open-world areas and a general hub, similar to Monster Hunter. It's a spinoff of the main game, so there are a number of key differences, such as combat being more integrated, rather than menu smashing - you can walk around while yelling at your Starly to bite Bidoof.

While the region is the same as Diamond and Pearl, the starting players are different too - Chimchar, Piplup and Turtwig have been replaced by Rowlett, Cyndaquill and Oshawott, all returning to 'mons. You have a week to decide which one you want to add to your team, so start thinking.

Mute the word Pokemon Legends Arceus so you can avoid spoilers, eh? They're rampant, and the game is even sold online on some sites because it's gone into the wild. There's no doubt that Nintendo is trying to catch them and put out the wildfires currently spreading across the internet, but with Pokemon Legends Arceus out in a week, it shouldn't be too hard to avoid any major plot points.
