INTRODUCTION

IVERHEAL 12 contains ivermectin which belongs to a group of medicines called anthelmintics. It is used to treat various parasitic infections such as onchocerciasis, intestinal strongyloidiasis, filarial infestations, hookworm, scabies, pediculosis and helminthiasis, whipworm and enterobiasis.

Onchocerciasis is a parasitic infection that primarily affects the skin, lymph nodes, and eyes. It is characterized by skin rashes, itching, lumps under the skin, enlarged glands in the neck, armpits, and groin, eye pain, or blindness. Intestinal strongyloidiasis is a parasitic infection that primarily affects the skin and intestines. It is characterized by skin rashes, itching, stomach pain, vomiting and diarrhea. Lymphatic filariasis is a worm infection that affects the lymph nodes and lymphatic vessels, while microfilaremia is a filarial infection that affects the blood.

Scabies is a communicable skin infection that can be spread from person to person through direct skin contact, including sexual contact and contact with clothing or furniture worn by the infected person. It is characterized by intense itching of the skin with blisters or irritating lumps on the skin that mainly affect the areas between the fingers, armpits, breasts, penis, buttocks, scalp, palms and soles.

IVERHEAL 12mg cannot be used prophylactically against all of these infections and does not work against adult worms. To prevent the spread of infection, wash your clothes and bedding frequently in hot water and store all your non-washable items in a tightly closed plastic bag for at least 3 days. Cut your nails frequently. People who come into contact with you should also see a doctor as soon as possible to make sure. This medication is generally safe and well tolerated. However, it can cause nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, and muscle pain in some people. Contact your doctor if this bothers you. It is not recommended for use in pregnant or lactating women and infants. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

HOW IVERHEAL 12 WORKS

Ivermectin is an antiparasitic agent. It acts against the parasite by selectively binding to glutamate-activated chloride ion channels present in nerve and muscle cells of organisms. Binding of ivermectin to glutamate-activated chloride ion channels increases chloride ion influx, leading to hyperpolarization, leading to paralysis and death of the parasite.

HOW TO USE

Take IVERHEAL 12 as directed by your doctor. It should be taken on an empty stomach, 2 hours before or after meals. Swallow the medication whole with a sip of water. In the case of a dispersible tablet, dissolve the tablet in one teaspoon of cooled, boiled water before administration. Your doctor will decide the dose and duration that is right for you based on your age, weight and severity of infection. Keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor tells you to get the best results.
