Positivity & Romantic, Intimate, Micro Wedding Inspiration

Body

The inspiration behind this shoot began having a bespoke wedding stationery design that I created this past year for a truly lovely couple. Their design was influenced by the rich colors and contrast of paintings by the Dutch masters- particularly the beautiful still-life floral setups.

For the place, we needed somewhere suitably grand and luxurious feeling and was first in my opinion.

A Grade 1 listed building and, according to the National Heritage List, 'one of the highest quality surviving 18th-century town halls', the setting was truly breathtaking. Filled with stunning original details, the ballrooms and reception rooms were perfect to create the tone to have an opulent shoot and we were able to capture a sense of grandeur and intimacy simultaneously.

Even the elaborate grand staircase and chandeliers from the venue couldn't take attention from the love of our models Kim and Ant. A real couple who're wedding photographers themselves, it had been fantastic to determine them around the other side of the camera after many years of capturing their very own couples and helping these phones feel at ease.

Sophie created a heartfelt and delightful mini-vow renewal which brought all of us to a standstill once we enjoyed what drew us to the various wedding professions in the first place- the love between marrying couples.

Each table was built with a slightly different style with similar roses, peonies along with other florals inside a gorgeous color pattern of deep reds, oranges, cream, and pops of blue.

The colors captured the warmth, depth, and contrast within the paintings that inspired the shoot, and additions of gold in the centerpiece stands, crockery, cutlery, and table number frame further added to the luxe feel.

Ant wore a bright green suit and also the cherry around the cake of his attire was the tie – a genuine touch of opulence. Expertly hand-crafted in beautiful plum silk patterned fabric, the tie contrasted perfectly using the color of the suit.

Another gorgeous finishing detail that paired well with the color pattern and overall feel during the day.

Kim wore amazing wedding dresses by FeelTimes that have been provided through the lovely Marisa. I knew when I started planning that Marisa was an ideal fit for this shoot.

The gorgeous lace of both princess wedding dresses was an ideal choice and provided lovely texture and detail.

The blush tone from the first gown worn for that ceremony gave us yet more depth of color and complimented the rich palette of that day. The second gown gave us romanticism in spades, the gown fell perfectly and only agreed to be beautiful for all those more relaxed yet intimate couple shots.

On your day, Kim not just looked like a princess but felt like one too thanks to the efforts of Marisa and our fantastic hair and makeup artists, and. Adele gave Kim a soft glam look having a warm and Autumnal feel in the shades of gold on her behalf eyes. Carol styled her auburn hair into gentle waves which fell about her shoulders in the most beautiful and romantic style.

I'm delighted with how everything came together and thus proud of the results we achieved with this particular collaboration. I'd prefer to thank the entire team for her hard work and dedication to realizing the theme and vision I had with this shoot!

A Note

I would also prefer to highlight the significance of understanding and recognizing the history of the beautiful buildings we have over the UK and, in this instance, particularly in Liverpool.
