Path of Exile Beginner's Guide - Delirium 3.10

Posted By igvault poecurrency     May 14, 2020

Our Path of Exile (PoE) 3.10 Delirium League Beginner’s Guide, should be helpful to all new and current players looking to improve their leveling to hit the endgame maps as swiftly as possible. We’ll break this guide down into multiple sections while providing as many valuable PoE resources as possible.

Interface Settings

First off, let's start with some Path of Exile Delirium friendly interface options.

By pressing the plus or minus button, you can also zoom in and out if you want to see your map better. There are a few other useful settings, I always show new sockets, life and mana numbers and life bars on allies and enemies. Advanced Mode description will show you the item prefixes and suffixes if you hold the alt button, this is important because each item has up to six affixes. Next up is mouse button 1 to click move is important.

The best time to get the Crab and Fairgraves skill points is when you are close to completing with A2 because at this time, you sometimes already have a second Quicksilver flask, and because you have mobile skills, you can move faster and a pair of sports speed boots.

Many PoE tasks can be skipped: Fetid Pool, Crypt, Library. Many of these skippable tasks only give smaller rewards, such as rare items and designated points. These tasks take a long time to complete, so if you want to get to the map as soon as possible, please avoid using them.

Inventory Management

One thing many players do is that they pick up too many things prematurely, which makes inventory management a living hell and wastes a lot of time. If you really have to pick up rare items then only, sometimes, you should sell them early in the league if you're low on wisdom scrolls.

Remember that you can very quickly make a +1 to gem level wand, and the recipe for doing this is one alteration orb, one blue gem, and a ring of your choice.

The fastest way to do your inventory management is to sort things while you're walking, never go back to town unless you have to!

POE Attack and Defences

The damage you apply or receive ordinarily comes from three main types. Recognize the type of damage dealt or received will aid with character growth.

Physical damage is typically caused by an attack-based offense, but certain spells may inflict physical damage too. The primary method of physical damage reduction is armour, but several other solutions can be used or combined with armour to make it a more potent reduction.

Elemental damage is made up of three elements: fire, cold and light. Elemental damage is among the most customary forms of damage between several monsters and players and one of the most difficult to counteract. Your main resistances serve as the primary source of fundamental mitigation, but it can be incorporated with many other forms of mitigation to improve its effectiveness, just like armour.

Chaos damage is the rarest form of damage and the hardest resistance to acquire. The game is balanced around the player with 0 resistances to chaos, but in most scenarios players will get away with the normal -60 percent resistance. Chaos damage is different since it ignores energy shields and targets a player’s life bars instantly. Unique items and keystones can prevent Chaos from hurting your life pool.

How you choose to mitigate damage will be completely up to you and the build your character adopts. Here are the main ways you can mitigate all the damage types in-game.

Armour – Physical damage reduction

Evasion – Chance to evade attacks (not spells)

Energy Shield – A shield that adds a layer of defense onto the life pool. (does not prevent Chaos damage)

Resistances – Soft capped at 75% for Fire, Lightning, Cold and Chaos

Dodge Attack/Spells – Like Evasion, however, Dodge hits can be chained indefinitely based on RNG.

Block Attack/Spells – Just like Dodge, the block chance has an upper cap of 75% but be manipulated by items.

Endurance Charges – A temporary stackable buff that grants physical damage reduction.

Fortify – A temporary buff granted by a skill that provides 20% mitigation of all incoming damage.

Curse – Abilities that can weaken enemies.

Flasks – Many Flask variants provide a range of damage mitigation.

POE Delirium Gameplay Hints and Tips

Inventory Management – One aspect of the game I see new players do is pick up far too much stuff early on which essentially makes inventory management a living hell. Strive not to gobble up everything, because you only frequently need to pick up rare items. Use a good Loot Filter that can adjust good items based on your level.

Speed Running – Many experienced players prefer to whizz through the early content whenever a new league starts. However, not everyone understands how XP works in Path of Exile. The formula is base level + -3 indicating if you are a level five you’ll get full XP in a level seven zone, and full XP in a level two zone. This changes by +1 every 16 levels so it’s best when speed leveling to remain in zones no more than three levels higher than your character.

Lab Trials – Completing lab trails will allow your character to Ascend into a subclass. These subclasses often provide powerful character enhancements and rare build specific perks.

That's all you need to know about Path of Exile Beginner's Guide - Delirium 3.10! If you're a seasoned veteran, we hope you also learned a thing or two more about the different ways to get PoE currency and most importantly—PoE orbs. Most of the time, not everyone has enough time to reach the goal. So, you can Buy Exalted Orb to replenish your inventory. Here, I recommend the safe POE Currency Shop . It's cheap, safe and fast, very good! Enjoy the Game.
