What are the different types of flanges?

Body

In ASME B16.11, socket weld (SW) fittings produced by Stainless Steel Threaded Fittings Manufacturers are used widely. A pipe is put into a recessed portion of the fitting, just like socket welding. Because the pipe and the fitting are square cuts and don't require additional preparation other than cleaning the exterior, welding and installation are straightforward.

In ASME B16.9, butt weld (BW) fittings are defined. They have the same thickness as pipes and are similarly welded at both ends and pipe ends. Butt weld fittings must have a beveled end. The strength of a socket weld (also known as a fillet weld) is about half that of a butt weld. Thus, it is primarily utilized for small pipelines. Look for the best Stainless Steel Socket weld Fitting manufacturer in India.

Know about the use of Stainless Steel

  • Due to their excellent ductility, annealed austenitic stainless steels may be bent to bend radii that are on par with carbon steel in the gauge.
  • To avoid scratching the stainless steel finish, the dies should have a high polish and be free of any surface imperfections.
  • For annealed stainless steel to bend, 50–60% more force is required than carbon steel.
  • Elastic recovery is present in all metals, and the 300 series stainless conduit has around 5% greater than galvanized steel.
  • We maintain stock of Calbrite elbows in types 304 and 316 with typical radiuses ranging from 12" to 4".
  • Offsets and sweeps can be custom ordered and are best purchased from the factory in bigger diameters.

ASTM A105 Forged Carbon Steel Material Specification

The most widely utilized carbon steel material grade or ASTM a105 forged fittings for making forged pipe parts like flanges and fittings for small diameter piping is ASTM A105. In pressure systems, this carbon steel is used for service at ambient and higher temperatures. There is a restriction on how this standard can be used, though. Forgings composed of A105 material shouldn't weigh more than 4540 kg. The ASTM a105 round bar makes forgings that weigh more than 4540 kg. Forging only utilizes dead carbon steel material. To accommodate diverse forging needs, this material can take the form of an ingot or a bar. See the picture below.

Know about the use of stainless steel material and alloy steel round bars

The primary component of screws, springs, metallic net, cable wire, and hardware is stainless steel produced by stainless steel manufacturers in India. It is crucial for electronic parts, the oil and fiber sector, kitchenware, and hardware. It is also commonly used in filters and construction.

Various material grades are used to make alloy steel round bars and Stainless Steel 304 Wire. These are constructed from a variety of sturdy, corrosion-resistant metal alloys. Generally, the bars have a diameter ranging from 4mm to 350mm. Carbon, manganese, chromium, molybdenum, phosphorus, and sulphur make up the 42crmo4 Bar. The alloy steel round bar manufacturer in India produces alloy steel round bars with a minimum tensile strength range of 850 MPa to 1000 MPa and are robust and resistant to corrosion. Additionally, it resists being worn. Carbon, silicon, nickel, phosphorus, manganese, chromium, and sulphur make up the SAE 4140 Rod's chemical makeup.
