Cacti are some of the most interesting plants in the world. They defy all standard conventions of gardening, surviving harsh conditions to provide a little touch of beauty to otherwise desolate environments. Many people consider Arizona the cactus capital of America. If you need - "painting of a cactus", visit this website.

There are many great places to see these plants in all their glory. Whether you want to take quick photos or spend an afternoon creating a painting of a cactus, here are some of the best spots in Arizona to see these beauties.

Catalina State Park

Just north of Tucson lies a beautiful state park full of gorgeous vegetation. Snowfall from nearby Mount Lemon and Mount Kimball make Cataline State Park a beautiful sight during the summer season. After the poppy flowers bloom in spring, the cactus take over.

Vibrant cactus flowers dot the park, creating a unique juxtaposition of spiky cacti and delicate flower plumes.

Desert Botanical Garden

Head on over to Phoenix to see a seemingly endless expanse of cacti. This garden is full of many plant species. Many of them bloom and produce fruit! The best time to visit is in the late spring when the weather is just right for the cacti to show their full potential. If you want to make a painting of a cactus, this park is an excellent spot for inspiration.

Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum

Here's another excellent location in Tucson. The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum is full of cacti in various colors, sizes, and species. There's no shortage of exciting plants. It's all here, from familiar classics to cultivars you've never seen.

Because there's so much variety, the beauty continues late into the year. Many cacti are still blooming and showing off well into October!

Lost Dutchman State Park

This state park is in Apache Junction. It's a popular hangout spot for those looking to revel in the beauty of wildflowers. However, the cacti are plentiful, too.

This location is most known for its abundance of Saguaros. The Saguaros cacti bloom and produce fruits, creating an incredible display of desert beauty.
