How to share files in the Cloud

Body

It happens to have to share files for work with a colleague or a friend for pleasure, and more and more often, you are faced with the limit of the maximum size imposed by the mailboxes. Sharing files via e-mail becomes more and more difficult now that the files are also photos and videos of considerable measure. To transfer 10 gb free high-resolution images, use cloud platform instead of email.

Gmail, for example, has a limit of 25MB to be shared between all attachments in the same email. Outlook drops to 20MB, even 10MB for Exchange corporate e-mail accounts.

How to share files with Google Drive

Google Drive offers free 15 GB of cloud space to anyone who activates a Gmail mailbox. Thanks to the Google Photos app, this space can also be used for automatic cloud backup of photos and videos. For this reason, this service is among the most popular among Android users for sharing multimedia files made with their smartphones.

Sharing a large file via Google Drive is extremely simple. Who has a Gmail mailbox does not have to do anything: if the attachments (or the sum of the attachments) transfer 30 gb file free then Gmail itself tells us that the files will be sent via a Google Drive link.

Those who have a Google Drive space, but do not use the Gmail mailbox, can instead send the files manually. Just open Google Drive from the browser and choose the files to send. If the file has not yet been uploaded to Drive, drag it from the computer to the browser window: the upload time will be available for sharing.

At this point, it will be sufficient to search for it among the folders of My Drive. In the left column, select it (you can send more than 10 gb free) and then right-click and choose Share. You will have two options: enter the recipient's e-mail address (even more than one at the same time) or generate a link for direct download and then share this link as you prefer (even via WhatsApp).

How to share files with Microsoft OneDrive

Even those who open a Microsoft account have free space on OneDrive, the cloud of the Redmond house, but much less: just 5 GB, but it is not necessary to create a new mailbox and, on the contrary, it is possible to create an account Microsoft even entering a Gmail email address.

The functioning of Microsoft OneDrive is very similar to that of Google Drive. Then you search for the file, or files, to be shared between the various folders (to add one, also in this case, you can drag it from the computer to the browser) and select it. Multiple selections are also available on OneDrive.

Once you have selected everything you want to share, click on Share in the command bar at the top. A window will appear where you can enter the recipients' e-mail addresses or generate the link for manual sharing. The mechanism, therefore, is identical to that of Google Drive.
