The combat system and PvM on RS3 is very alive

OSRS is in a sense better state than pre-eoc and it's getting fast money in osrs not even close. There's much more great content and the material is all well balanced for the most part. The JMods really implement things the players need and listen to feedback. Is the sheer quantity of quests that came out afterward. Community-wise? Pre-eoc was even better. People always speak about stealing soul wars creation and all sorts of things they remember having fun with. Should they put those items into OSRS, they would be ghost towns unless they place some overpowered wages in. The community mindset has changed and it will not be like it was back then.

It's nearly like EoC was that the problem and almost nothing else (automatically, anyhow, elimination of free transaction was clearly terrible). The nearest thing to Dungeoneering/Summoning we could have had in terms of a special ability was probably Sailing, but the"rS3 bAd" audience will never let anything overly fascinating creep into OSRS. That is a fantastic thing and a bad thing, I guess. If you are implying that we should get summoning in osrs I am firmly against that. Either we get it the exact same way it played out in rs3 (Massive ezscape in the form of easy healing, very good dps increase or additional bagspace) where it's dumb not to use it regardless of what pvm you do (and many non pvm things also ). Or it will be too inconsequential to issue, where the cost to impact ratio is very high, or else they have short durations or simply effects that are intentionally feeble as not to upset the meta too much.

I wouldnt argue that EOC had been the problem, it was Jagex implemented it and then added 101 solutions that forced it into an absolute mess of a launch. Should you plat EOC today RuneScape is excellent. The designers really created the directors and monsters and the best of this battle system that came after EOC that take advantage of he system makes EOC fun to play. But at start they were hoping to create to that totally axed the machine and made. If Jagex had the insight they have today with the combat system, I believe just like EOC wouldnt happen to be so buggered in the beginning and when they actually made it clear with evolution diaries and enabled more player interaction aside from simply"show case" server less gamers wouldnt of felt betrayed.

RS3 and EOC isnt as bad as this subreddit and OSRS would have you think, you have to jump through the incredibly jumbled beginning of RS3 and you will be set. "too intriguing", a lot of the stuff polled and implied are just power- or xpcreep that is not qualitatively more interesting to play than the existing items we've (sometimes worse), frequently only contributing to imbalance or creating things easier to appease the people who dislike the material rather than those that like it.I don't think even the people who are nostalgic about 2007 are inclined to oppose content which truly improves gameplay. I believe most players agree that the PvM is a massive update concerning quality of game play.

I also believe EOC was not clearly"the problem", since it arguably was quite good in the end (it just took a while ). The combat system and PvM on RS3 is very alive and seems as far as I can know to be nuanced and"enjoyable" compared to OSRS. It was a success, I believe RS3 could have been in a worse state now without EoC. As I remember it, eoC was more like the last straw for many. The people I played with how to buy osrs gold and myself had kind of lost faith and did not see a future for RuneScape, when EoC didn't seem great at once there was little motivation to essentially learn a new game with the very same devs and a match that brought on many of the same problems and frustrations.
