As well as making an elegant fashionable statement, leather gloves are quite prominent fixtures in popular culture as well. Think of leather gloves in the movies and Neo, Trinity and Morpheus' pairs in the Matrix trilogy immediately come to mind. Another popular image is Mel Gibson's driver gloves pair in the post apocalyptic setting of the Mad Max films. Even Wesley Snipes' Blade trilogy had his character sporting a fine pair of leather gloves.
All of these movies have one thing in common: They are all action-oriented films. But delve a bit deeper into the world of movies and you see how elegant and fashionable leather gloves can be like Julia Roberts' character in My Best Friend's Wedding, or Michelle Pfeifer's sassy lawyer character in I Am Sam.
We spoke earlier of practicality. Leather gloves are not just pretty fashion statements. You cannot get warmer than a pair of real leather gloves. The keep your hands cosy and warm because leather absorbs heat better than any other material so it will warm up your hands even under harsh climates. Your hands, particularly your fingers are among the most sensitive parts of your body. By providing them with heat, the body's temperature will be able to resist the cold.
