The Acer Aspire C27 is the ideal illustration of a reliable all-in-one computer. The Aspire C27, which costs $1,299, has all the features you'll need to complete all of your daily tasks in a small, streamlined design that's intended to fit wherever you need it.
The Aspire C27 is perfect for the majority of consumers thanks to its 27-inch Full HD IPS display, especially those who require a basic PC for tasks like checking email, making online purchases, streaming video, and managing appointments and reminders.
On the other hand, you wouldn't use the Aspire C27 for resource-intensive activities like gaming or video editing. However, the Aspire C27 is a reliable computer that does all these tasks like a pro when it comes to simple tasks like web browsing and email checking.
I set up the Aspire C27 in under five minutes.
You won't have any trouble setting up this computer if you've ever plugged in a toaster.
There is only one monitor, a keyboard, and a mouse because this is an all-in-one solution; there is no large tower or other external components that need to be assembled. I'm done now. You should be up and running in no time if you simply plug the monitor into a power source and do a simple power cycle.
The end of that. The only additional configuration needed is to create a new user profile in Windows 11. The included keyboard and mouse will require batteries, which is also probably important to mention, but other than that, that's all there is to setting up this PC.
You won't have any trouble setting up this computer if you've ever plugged in a toaster.
It's important to note that the Aspire C27 has a 512GB NVMe M.2 solid-state hard drive, which means a few things, including incredibly quick loading times for games, apps, and movies.
But more critically, compared to a PC without an SSD disc, the C27 can boot to the home screen much faster. In other words, after first powering on the C27, I was able to test it right away.
You can take the Aspire C27 anyplace because to its design.
Let's concentrate on the C27's design before turning to the performance side of things. Usually, the last thing that comes to mind when picturing a PC is its portability. And they're not, for the most part.
The Aspire C27, however, breaks the mould. Moving this PC around is relatively painless and doesn't need much effort because it weighs only 9 pounds.
Also, since there isn't a tower, moving the device to your preferred place only requires unplugging it. Just remember to bring your wireless keyboard and mouse.
The Aspire C27 can fit almost anywhere, no matter how much room you have available. It used the same desk where my wife works when it was being tested. She has a desk that would look at home in a 1960s newsroom, if such a place even existed.
The display may use some improvement.
To be honest, there was one aspect of the C27 that I didn't find impressive. And what about that? It makes sense that way. The Aspire C27's IPS display required some getting used to as my MacBook's Liquid Retina XDR display has thoroughly spoiled me.
The 27-inch full HD IPS LED backlit screen on the Aspire C27 is available. You won't have any complaints if you're not too picky about how things appear on a screen. Once I got used to the difference, I didn't either.
However, if you have people who are extremely picky about colour, you might see shadow effects on the display's border, which are common on many laptops. However, the majority of individuals won't find this to be a deal-breaker.
Poor video quality is captured by the webcam, but that is expected.
You'll notice that a surprising number of Aspire C27 reviews highlight the device's 720p HD webcam. And to be honest, it's not really that good. But does it actually perform the job? Indeed, it does. Do other PC manufacturers' all-in-one computers have superior cameras? There will be some, for sure, but it won't be the norm in 2022.
Even Apple has only recently switched to more modern webcams. It's not surprising that Acer is putting 720-pixel HD webcams in their products since all of Apple's laptops had them up until 2021.
Sure, the C27's camera isn't the best, but the majority of consumers don't consider that when making a PC purchase.
The camera does its job and is certainly not the worst option available, but if having a high-quality webcam is something you absolutely must have, there are always alternatives available. Therefore, I don't think it's a big deal.
Conclusions regarding the Aspire C27
I have no qualms in recommending the Aspire C27 as a superb all-in-one PC. Your basic computing requirements can be met by this quick, lightweight device. In fact, the Aspire C27 would be near the top of my list of recommendations if my mother ever needed a new computer.
So, you won't have to worry about unplugging a tonne of cables or accessories to get it where you need it, whether that's the kitchen table or your home office.
Although it is a desktop computer, it doesn't feel like one at all. Therefore, the C27 is something you won't have to worry about taking up too much space if you dislike things cluttering your desk.
