For gamers who never played runescape prior to OSRS

Together with nearly all content that I play OSRS not existing in RuneScape gold, alot of the material I participate in isn't completly nostalgic. This made me wonder, the number of gamers without a nostalgia play Runescape? Do these players even exist? If so, would like to hear your thoughts and experiences about Runescape. What pulled you in? Ideas on content that is fresh? Barriers? What keeps you coming back? Why in the world do you do this to yourself?

Any insight would be G. I just started playing the release of mobile and graduated to runelite. For reference I'm 32 so would've been an older adolescent already when rs2 was booming 2005-6 as I know it. The impression I get is that most people here played it in their youth preteen years and came back into it.

So I have no nostalgia for Runescape as such. I seriously just chose to play it since the memes were hot. I keep going because at its most basic I enjoy"haha numbers go vroom", but to expand on that I've finally gotten to a stage where I could begin doing some bossing and also finishing goals, and I'm really enjoying this. Got my qpc and on the grind for diaries. Having these aims keeps me going even if some of the grinds are totally horrible and were probably obsolete gameplay even back on rs2 (badly, mage training arena, what the fuck is this garbage?).

I generally am happy with upgrades. Possessing no nostalgia related to Runescape and no experience with the EOC update or removing free trade and wildy pking and all the other controversial changes that drove the old players away, I find that lots of times I'm in debate with a large majority of folks here with regards to proposed content and upgrades. I'm all for new skills and modernizing Runescape, but I understand why the people with nostalgia for it want to maintain it"oldschool". Im open minded to skills from RS3 like dungeoneering and summoning which I never undergone but seem pretty neat imo. Which is in resistance to people here who seem to despise them.

As it is Runescape is dull and I feel as if you have to be a particular type of Old School RuneScape Gold person to enjoy it. I tell my friends not to try it cause they'll probably hate it. Hey inquire if there, although I du n no, kind of a wander. I have gathered that it's not overly common.
