1 Virginia Beach

Is a trip to Virginia complete unless you visit Virginia Beach? Three different beaches stretch for 14 miles, offering sand, surf, and boardwalk galore. You can choose to rest in quieter areas or in the midst of the crowd. Of course, while we focus on the beach, Virginia Beach is much more than that.

2 The Natural Bridge of Virginia

The Natural Bridge of Virginia is a massive limestone arch that has been out over millennia by Cedar Creek. It's one of the most beautiful tourist attractions in the state, and its natural status adds to its value as a world wonder. It's also North America's largest natural bridge on land, measuring 215 feet in length. As a young man in 1750, George Washington visited the site and surveyed it, carving his initials into it.

3 Marine Science Center

The Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center are one of the best places in Virginia to travel the world without leaving the state! The Bay and Ocean Pavilion, which showcases bodies of water in the state and their journeys through them, is a popular exhibit here. This is one of the most enjoyable things to do in Virginia, especially if you come with family.

4 Luray Caverns

The Luray Caverns are one of Virginia's most beautiful natural wonders. They were in 1878 by four men from Luray and have since grown to become America's largest commercial cave system. The Great Cavern, which is so large that it has hosted weddings, is one of the stops along the way. It's no surprise that it's one of the best places to visit in Virginia!

5 Virginia Museum of Fine Arts

The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, or VFMA, is one of the best places to visit in Virginia because of its recognized calibre, making it one of the state's most important museums. When the VFMA opened in 1936, the public would be able to see these works. If you need a break, you can eat at one of the VFMA's two restaurants or sit outside in a relaxing area.

The Blue Ridge Parkway is a well-known Virginia attraction, particularly for sightseeing. It is America's longest linear park, spanning 469 miles of road, and intended to connect the Great Smoky Mountains and Shenandoah National Parks.
