Imaging seeing another playing in reduced or null sec that you mean to take out. You apply your internet, scramble and zoom in, and start placing on the damage. Your adrenaline is pumping. Now once you have them only scale staying you shut off your guns and
EVE Mobile ISK send them a message that says"Cease fire and transfer 50M ISK or lose your ship". Ransom, in my view, is what makes PVP in EO relatable to piracy. You offer me the ISK and you have to keep your boat, it is fittings, and also the time that it would take you to re-purchase and construct. When players are creating 100M+ an hour that time is quite valuable. If you've experienced the adrenaline of PVP, envision the minutes between you awaiting their answer and sending that message. Not only do their choice is eagerly anticipated by you but you 100% vulnerable at this stage as well. For they've clanmates or friends.
While I never took part in gate camping parties, I dropped several ships. It isn't interesting to lose but I admire Eve Echoes, and furthermore, it created low and null sec VERY harmful (read: exciting) to fly into. In Echoes, there is virtually zero danger of flying 20 jumps through any platform in Eve Echoes. You can have EE perform the travel for you! EE has removed a lot of flying around in space, of the typical dangers. The only time that you are ever genuinely subjected to PVP if your doing assignments, anomalies, or mining at non or null-sec, and if you're clever you've lined up using a twist point so that it's near impossible to handle you unless you're not paying attention.
In EO, I can perform a bounty hunter and decide to blow up your ship right in the center of Jita because somebody paid me too (or didn't.). Not possible in Echoes. I hope this answers your question and didn't come across as cynical, I actually really look forward to the launch of Eve Echoes I just hope it doesn't remain care bear favorable for the long term. Some of the changes would be the reason EE and I'm playing. I hated gate camping and being blown up in sec. Those two changes make Eve Echoes so much better imho. I love that I can jump around without a massive amount of danger although I dont like that it is almost impossible to get warp disruptors.
Getting blown up just because I am flying to a point 35 jumps away was thrash in EO. The fact sec that is high is safe wont stop the ability to pirate in null and non. So there ought to be more risk, you make more money in reduced and null. Anomalies in sec ought to be safe since they provide any great loot. Without getting as good of loot it gives people a place to play and mine. This mechanic adds risk and reward.something that was lame I am EO imho. Just pulling from Jita was a risk.and that just wasnt fun.
