These lists highlight the most popular PS4, PS5, PS VR and free-to play games of the month in both North America and Europe, with no surprises that are in store for this month.

Beginning at the beginning of PS5 Games, NBA 2K23 was the most downloaded game on PSN for September on North America, while FIFA 23 was the most popular game in Europe (which should come as no surprise considering the popularity of football is in the region). Another release from September, The Last of Us Part 1 is ranked as third in both regions.

Switching to PS4, NBA 2K23 was one of the games that was downloaded the most during the month throughout the US and Canada as FIFA 23 took the top position in Europe. For PSVR game titles Beat Saber was the number. first game both in North America and Europe, with Job Simulator and Superhot VR coming in second and third place in both regions.

For games that are free to play, which includes PS5 and PS4 together, Fortnite was the most-downloaded game in the US and Canada, while Rumbleverse was the most-played free-to-play game across Europe.
