These ripples would have traveled across the league

It's not clear what the outcome would have been. Even a Super Bowl win could have resulted in a hangover however, at the very minimum the Panthers could have been more confident in their play. This is essential for what came in 2017 and beyond.

Consistent inconsistency has been a principle of the Panthers since the franchise has existed. The seemingly endless rubber banding of soaring highs and crushing lows, with little between. The winning of that Super Bowl, finally getting over the hurdle, could have been a major change.

General manager Dave Gettleman would have stayed as a player in the year 2017. The Super Bowl would have assured that, and it would drastically alter the Giants' history too. Without Gettleman it's unlikely that the team picks Saquon Barkley and will instead be selecting Sam Darnold -- which ensures that the Jets' QB within the same place but in different hues.

After Gettleman's departure , the Panthers began to act like a team who was running in the sand. Ron Rivera seat was getting hot, Newton was struggling, not just on the field, but with injuries. Everyone in the building was aware of the need to get wins right away. Had Carolina were to win Super Bowl 50 they would have a huge hanging point to put their caps on. Newton who was an NFL-winning quarterback and an ex-Super Bowl MVP probably would have sat out his injuries that were getting worse, similarly the team wouldn't have felt as if they were in a position to return him quickly -- which could have exacerbated the problems.

There's a high probability victory in this Super Bowl would have led to Newton remaining as the team's quarterback Carolina Panthers, Dave Gettleman continuing to be the GM in addition to Ron Rivera remaining head coach. These ripples would have traveled across the league, affecting many franchises. Another team is likely to hire Matt Rhule, who was a former player from Baylor, Teddy Bridgewater could be a starter in a different location, Washington might have hired a new head coach and there's the possibility that a strong Panthers team could force the Buccaneers to undergo a complete rebuild rather than committing all-in on Tom Brady in 2020 -, assuming they've had their window at the NFC South closed.

Cam Newton deserved better than his ending with the Panthers Scenario II: Things play out similar (mostly).

Let's say winning Super Bowl 50 doesn't fix the organizational problems that plague the Carolina Panthers. Newton's injuries remain an issue. As the team is focused on winning now, the collapse still occurs.
