Through college, one my most enjoyable escapes from and after class was playing the NBA 2K franchise and, specifically, career mode
NBA 2K MT. I put hours into every version of the game for a couple of years, whether it was as a guard on the Heat or Lakers or a different team in the league.
As the years went along, my interest in 2K has been a lot less partially due to the fact that I've been enjoying playing other games , but mostly due to the repetitive character of the 2K franchise. In actuality, it's been close to half-dozen years since the last time I truly played an NBA 2K game.

Coming in to the current edition of 2K23 was a pleasant experience, with delightful surprises as well as some disappointing results as well. There were some changes made to improve the gamethe same as MyTEAM- along with some aspects which appear to miss the point.
My first move once I got the game started was to immediately switch to career mode and begin creating my character. Some aspects of this process have changed and for the better such as limiting the possibility of skill points
