YangZheng XiaoJi significantly reduced the migration rate of cancer cells

Posted By Lillian Tong     September 23, 2023

Body

The final concentration of Yangzheng Xiaoji extract was 1µl/g body weight, and PHA6665752 was 6.4 ng /g body weight. Tumor size was measured weekly for 4 weeks. The mice were weighed and monitored daily. The procedure was reviewed and approved by Cardiff University's Joint BioEthics Committee and carried out under the UK Home Office Project Licence (PPL 30/2591). At the end of the experiment, the mice were euthanized. The tumor was dissected and immediately stored at −80°C for subsequent analysis. The tumor volume was calculated by the following formula: Tumor volume (mm3) = length × width ×0.54[41].

Nourishing and eliminating accumulation have profound effects on cell-matrix adhesion, cell migration and invasion in vitro

The effect of nourishing and eliminating accumulation on cell migration was examined for the first time. Using automatic cell tracking of the EVOS system, results showed that YangZheng XiaoJi significantly reduced the migration rate of cancer cells (Figure 1a, b). As expected, HGF increased the migration rate of both types of cancer cells. Interestingly, the addition of Yang Zhengxiaoji significantly reduced the rate of migration (Figure 1c, d). In vitro invasiveness was also tested. As shown in Figure 6, 1e, f, nourishing and eliminating accumulation also significantly reduced the invasion force of the two kinds of cells.

In this study, we also adopted another method for automatically tracking cell adhesion and migration, the ECIS based method. As shown in FIG. 2a and b, nourishing positive and eliminating accumulation had certain inhibitory effects on the adhesion of both kinds of cells. An electrical damage-based approach was applied to fused cancer cells and the migration of both types of cells was subsequently tracked. As shown in Figure 6, 2c significantly inhibited the migration of SKMES1 cells. The A549 cells showed a similar response to nourishing and eliminating accumulation, as repeated injuries showed a similar response.
