Emirates has given you freedom from taking care of printed boarding passes now. So, all those who are flying from Dubai on an Emirates flight don’t have to worry about crumpled boarding passes or misplacing those. They simply have to tap the barcode at the airport and it’s done!

This is a smart step by Emirates Airlines that offers added convenience to its travelers. Also, it imparts you with trips that are enabled digitally. Most of the travelers who are taking off from Dubai can use a  mobile boarding pass from 15 May 2023.

Should I have a Printed Boarding Pass with Emirates?

There are various circumstances in which you can fly without a printed boarding pass with Emirates. The Emirates Airlines Check in through the app, you can download your boarding pass to your smart device. Use your mobile boarding pass throughout your flight in Dubai Duty Free and at security. Simply scan the QR code on your mobile boarding pass and you will be good to go.

Please note

• Travelers who are checking in at Terminal 3 get their mobile boarding pass through SMS or email. Those who check-in online can download their boarding pass into their Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
• Emirates emails you the checked-in baggage receipt or you can find it in the Emirates App.

• Unaccompanied minors
• Passengers with infants
• Those who have other flights onwards on airlines other than Emirates
• Travelers who need special assistance
• All travelers on flights to the US

• UAE citizens and residents can use their passport, boarding pass, or a valid UAE ID.
• GCC nationals or travelers eligible for visa on arrival can use the Smart Gates with a biometric passport.

Can I Claim Flight Delay Compensation with Emirates?

If an Emirates flight delay causes you to be late to reach your destination by over 3 hours, you are entitled to get compensation. However, you can get an Emirates flight delay compensation if delay resulted from reasons that were within the control of the airline. Extraordinary circumstances that couldn’t have been controlled or avoided by reasonable measures don’t count for compensation.

The amount you can get as compensation is -

• £220 - For flights of 1500 km or less
• £350 - For flights between 1500 km and 3500 km
• £520  - For all other flights
