Have you ever wonder how Mens Rubber Rain Boots are made? Read on to learn how rain boots are made, what blooming is, and how to care for your Chooka boots.

SOURCED FROM RUBBER TREES

Rain boots are made using natural materials from rubber trees. First slits are cut in the bark of a rubber tree. The sap that is drawn from these slits is a sticky, milky liquid that's collected in buckets.

EXCESS WATER REMOVED

The rubber is then processed by removing excess water and mixed with other materials to create a rubber compound.

BLOOMING
Sometimes you might see a white film on your boots, this is called blooming and is completely natural. Blooming occurs because rubber is a natural product and sometimes particles rise to the surface, it’s nothing to worry about and easy to clean.

CLEANING
Cleaning boots and removing blooming is easy. First, clean your boots with baking soda and water, or dish soap and water. Use a damp towel to wipe off the dirt, then let them air dry. Next polish your boots using a silicone boot cleaner or olive oil. This is a temporary fix and blooming might occur again so simply clean your boots again as needed.

If you need to deodorize the inside, try spraying a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and water - the vinegar will absorb odor. Always store your boots in a cool, dry place. Keep your boots away from direct sunlight as it ages boots faster which breaks them down and eventually creates drying and cracking.

We are one of the Safety rubber boots manufacturer and welcome to your come and purchase!
