Who's going to be on the field today?
To host this Rocket League Invitational, WePlay Esports chose the top 8 players from RLCS X to compete. When Europe's Solary was disbanded, they instead invited Sandrock Gaming, who were deemed to be the best team from the Middle East.

Some in the community were surprised by this decision, believing that other European teams were more deserving of the honor. As a result, with the Middle East soon to be competing within their own region in the Regional League Championship Series, it will serve as a good warm-up against the best players in the world. A number of fans expressed their desire to see the South American True Neutral, who recently moved to Mexico to compete in the NA RLCS, take the field over lower-tier teams such as the Susquehanna Soniqs, in the same vein as they did with True Neutral.

The following are the teams representing the continent of Europe:
Team BDS is a group of people who are passionate about their work.
Vitality SMPR Esports (formerly Team Vitality)

Digitas Karmine Corporation Vodafone Giants Guild Esports Dignitas

Sandrock Gaming is a video game company based in the United Kingdom that specializes in online gaming.
There are a number of contenders in North America:

Rogue G2 Esports FaZe Clan (who will play with a sub) Shopify Rebellion Susquehanna Soniqs NRG Team Envy SpaceStation Gaming Rogue G2 Esports

Starting the week off with a match between Team BDS and Sandrock Gaming, the week is looking promising. The Vodafone Giants were originally scheduled to face Team BDS in the first round. However, that matchup was cancelled. The seeding, however, was changed as a result of community feedback, and nearly all of the first-round matchups across both regions were shifted as result.
