As someone who been playing since Madden 64 in 97. I'm done with it

It is true that sports require seasons in order to plan their schedules for games. Games for sports have 95percent of their codes copied from Madden 23 coins year to year. They don't have to resell the game for $60/$70 every year. Consider cheaper seasonal updates as DLC and only release an item at full price for an essential upgrade.

As someone who been playing since Madden 64 in 97. I'm done with it. This is the first time I'm not at all interested in the game. Every time it feels like they're taking steps forward, they'll suddenly get rid of the cool feature and bring it back afterward to make people want to play. In the case of games similar to CoD, or any yearly release game , you'll get a whole story mode plus online  and possibly another mode or two modes to play. With Madden it's more like an display, franchise, or a way to blow your money on Ultimate Team.

Honestly ever since MLB arrived on Xbox it made me realise the amount of work EA is able to do every year. As much as I enjoy games that involve baseball, and I am ecstatic that MLB the Show was released on Xbox I was disappointed it's not like the older games where you can play the season in franchise mode and make moves, sign, and let players go based on contracts. I enjoyed that aspect of the games, now it's you have to collect card games and build your own MUT teams. I couldn't get into any of the game modes like MLB the Show or Madden.

In reality, video games are superior to IRL sports because they're not governed by the reality. Madden could provide a wealth of new features and offer players complete choices (like they did previously) and create new and new experiences each year. In the moment the game doesn't offer that.

There's simply not enough time to code all the latest games from scratch in this time frame. It's better to release one  buy mut 23 coins  massive product every 3 to 4 years (or adapt to console generations) at a substantially reduced cost and "roster updates" with the new seasons.

But they're not doing this. They're requesting an annual update of their Dream Team modes etc. Heck, they even have the wits to continue releasing "legacy" editions that include FIFA on Vita and Switch that were just changes to players and teams and charge full price.

There's no time to program all the new technology from scratch within the timeframe. That's right, they used to do it. In the 2000's they'd return year after year with excellent upgrades and changes to franchise mode and the physics of player movement and so on. They have the time and resources to make it happen but they don't.
