I'd like to add, it would make a sense if just the answers that are easily found on the wiki got downvoted. I feel bizarre even talking about downvotes, isn't there like an unwritten rule about not doing that? I feel like the whole hostility to questions matter is another symptom of
Buy RS Gold efficiencyscape, except rather than criticizing people for training skills inefficiently, it's criticizing people for seeking replies inefficiently. Only the most effective method (reading wiki) is enabled, everything else is wrong, even though asking different players will nonetheless provide an answer.
So apparently people are supposed to play a singleplayer game and never talk to anyone because everything is on the wiki and there's no justification for making talks. Of course public chat is so dead relative to ten decades ago and people talk more about politics than about Runescape, since politics is based on view rather than about the wiki. I get it. The wiki did not exist for a lot of players. When I initially began (then stop, then moved to OSRS decades later) we did not have a wiki. It is really just a case of"I heard Runescape the difficult way, you can also" imo.
That is just kinda the nature of the playerbase, elderly people who've been playing forever for the most part. Anyway I really don't think I've played Runescape together with the wiki closed in ages. I reading wiki webpages while afking some 15, if I'm not pvming. It stinks that I read the wiki than talk while skilling but that I don't eliminate sleep on it.
There's two problems. New players making fundamental query's about Runescape, subsequently getting downvoted without an answer. The remedy is that the Weekly Megathread which I believe solves the issue of collecting everyone with Basic Questions into a single location (you know those answers currently ). However, I don't believe in the Subreddit users here, I believe only a handful of them will redirect those new users to the Megathread, others will only answer their questions, while the others will still downvote them (that will be the difficulty this informative article concentrated on, as fas as I'm aware).
Redirecting OSRS players to the correct subreddit. The solution would be to make a principle or bot (like the"Ninja Request" one) that shows people the other Subreddit accessible for them to make the question. However, users make a fantastic job by diverting those people there, and
how to make money fast on osrs there's Partner Subreddits, there is, under by the Subreddit link on the perfect banner. But they downvote them. The Downvotes here, and the pestering users are like the ISR, there. You cannot remark anything remotely constructive since they're already biting at your ankle.
