Its main function is to separate the oil and compressed air in the oil and gas mixture, so that the oil can return to the oil circulation system, thereby reducing The oil content of the outlet gas. The most common application of oil is in the oil-injected screw air compressor. This article discusses its application.
Generally, the oil content requirement for the oil-injected screw air compressor is that the residual oil content of the outlet compressed air after the oil content treatment is not more than 3ppm (the oil content is not more than 3mg/m3). Excessive oil content in the outlet air of an air compressor is usually referred to as high fuel consumption, commonly known as running oil. It is a headache problem that has plagued manufacturers, sellers and users for a long time, and it is also one of the most common failure phenomena. If the air compressor runs out of oil, it will not only pollute the post-processing equipment, but also affect the quality of products produced by users, and even cause varying degrees of damage to some production equipment.
So how to determine whether the machine has excessive fuel consumption? I think we should start from the following aspects:
1. First, eliminate the phenomenon of oil leakage or oil leakage on the outside of the pipe fittings of the machine.
2. Whether the oil level of the machine has dropped significantly, observe the oil level indicator line to compare under the same working environment, for example, under the same load of 7bar, whether the oil level changes before and after the time, or observe the oil level after stopping for ten minutes Is there a difference.
3. For a machine equipped with a water separator, take a sample from the water separator drain, drain the water and place it in a clean container (cup or mineral water bottle), then settle for about five minutes, and then observe whether it is a bit or It is the oil film-like oil that collects on the surface of the container. Under normal circumstances, there are only a few thin colorful oily flowers when observing against the light. Before sedimentation, the sampled water may appear milky white, which is normal. For machines that are not equipped with a water separator, you can observe the drainage status of the air storage tank, and compare with the previous normal situation whether the discharged water carries more oil.
Through the above aspects, we can basically determine whether the machine has a problem of excessive fuel consumption.
