Soma is an ancient mystery. Was it a cannabis derivative? Ephedra? Maybe it was a magic mushroom. Here we explore the history Buy lsd and psychedelic mystery of Soma.

One of the deepest mysteries that have baffled scholars for centuries is the identity of a substance called Soma, which was offered to the gods and consumed by Vedic priests during the religious ceremonies of the Proto-Indoarians.

The only remaining testimonies, more than 3000 years old, call this the juice of a highly intoxicating plant capable of inducing “divine” mental states. But what is Soma? While many keep thinking about it, we thought we'd give it an in-depth look ourselves!

ORIGINS
Soma was introduced to India during migrations between 2000 and 1500 BC, together with a branch of the Indo-European linguistic system known as Sanskrit. They were, according to their own accounts, heavy drinkers, meat eaters,

cattle and horse breeders, who subdued anyone in their path, and according to recent archaeological conjectures based on carbon dating, they probably destroyed Mohenjo-Daro, the great city of the Indus civilization, around 1500 BC.

Like many conquerors, they were eventually absorbed by the conquered, who were more civilized than them. However, their language remained dominant and over time proliferated, as did their religion, of which they were fervent devotees. This religion had to do with a number of nature gods:

Indra, leader of the gods and lightning thrower; Agni, god of fire; Varuna, ruler of the universal order; the sun god; and many other minor deities - a pantheon, like that of the ancient Greeks. The hymns to these gods became an important part of the ancient literature known as the Vedas, and among the Rig Veda, the oldest Vedas, is a group of hymns dedicated to Soma, who had apparently acquired the status of divinity.

In fact, an entire book of the Rig Veda - 114 hymns - is entirely devoted to the god Soma. According to these Vedic sources, Soma was a plant with a stem but no mention of leaves, it grew only in the mountains, could be reddish in color, and was associated with the Sun and the Moon.

For Vedic sacrifices, its stems were pounded with stones to extract the juice, which was then filtered and mixed with rennet, milk and barley water, or honey. Part of this was poured over the sacrificial fires, and part of it was drunk by the priests.

Under its effects, the Vedic poets expressed themselves in expansive terms, and references to them are found throughout the Rig Veda, sometimes with a fervor that could be considered hallucinatory. Proof of this is offered by Hymn 48, from Book VIII of the Rig Veda:

“We have drunk the Soma, we have become immortal, we have arrived at the light, we have found the gods.

What can the enemy now do to harm us, Buy lsd and what wickedness can mortals feed, O Soma?
He enters our hearts. While you drink, or Juice, like a gentle father, or Soma, for a son.
Like a wise friend to a friend, or You who embrace everything. Amplify, O Soma, our lives for the purpose of living.

With the spirit enlivened by your juice, we can share, as it were, ancestral wealth.
O Soma, prolong our lives, as the Sun prolongs the day in spring ”.
